Lena walked into a small boutique called Frotella. The boutique had red tiles on the floor. Lena looked straight ahead and saw tubes filled with exotic candies. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath through her nose. She smelled the sweetness of chocolate, the sourness of sour patch kids, and the spiciness of the hot tamales. Lena opened her eyes and raced towards the gummy worms. She grabbed the scooper and scooped a little bit in her bag. "Señorita, this is only for customers who buy something."The owner of the shop, a old friendly looking man , of uncertain age but certainly not a day below 60, patted Lena on the shoulder. Lena turned around and saw the old man standing behind her. The old man crossed his arms, yet smirking at Lena, who's cheeks were glowing with embarrassment. "Sorry sir, I really didn't know.." "No problem Señorita, I can see your not from around here," The man said chuckling. "Yes. My friend and I came to visit our best friend who lives here.! Tell you what sir, to make it up to you, I'm going to buy 15 pairs of shoes from your boutique." Lena piped up.
